New Buffalo is located at the mouth of the Galien River on Michigan's west coast just north of the Indiana border. It is about a 90-minute drive from Chicago and the first stop for many visitors to Michigan entering from Indiana on eastbound Interstate 94. New Buffalo greets visitors with a large and modern refuge harbor, an around-the-clock public boat launch, and a full service transient dock facility. There are plenty of shops, places to stay, places to eat, and recreational opportunities — making it an ideal place to live or play.
